Remember those fun-filled afternoons spent with friends and family joining in on Easter egg hunts as a child? When Easter rolls around, there’s only one thing on everybody’s minds – chocolate!
Just because those childhood days have long since passed us by, that doesn’t mean that you can’t still enjoy everything that the season has to offer. Take the opportunity to get creative and celebrate at work by organising an office Easter egg hunt for you and your colleagues to have some seasonal fun.
It may be a little more difficult organising your hunt in amongst PC desks and filing cabinets than it would be at home or outdoors, but if anything, this only adds an additional element of fun into the equation.
So how do you go about organising an Easter egg hunt in your office?
Once you’ve asked the boss’ permission and got everyone on board (even the most reluctant people suddenly seem a lot more interested when chocolate is involved!), it’s just a simple matter of planning your hunt.
Take a trip to the shops and stock up on plenty of sweets, chocolate and Easter goodies in preparation for your office Easter egg hunt. Don’t forget to get a full range of treats to cater for any colleagues who have specific dietary requirements to ensure that everyone can join in on the fun.
Now that you have got the treats, you need to decide how your hunt is going to work. Are you going to place goodies around the office for everyone, or adopt the ‘first to find gets the treat’ policy? If you have the time, it could be a nice touch to create personalised Easter eggs for each of your co-workers. Simply fill plastic or handmade eggs with a selection of sweets and chocolates, then personalise the eggs with your colleague’s names and fun Easter themed designs.
All that is left to do now is hide the eggs around the office ready for the hunt to begin. Stay late the night before or come into work half an hour early to make sure everything is set up – your co-workers are sure to thank you for all the effort!
Struggling to think of hiding places? It’s best to go for a mixture of both easy and arduous hiding places to challenge your colleagues without making it too tricky. Hide eggs on, underneath or around PC desks, in drawers, on top of cupboards, or even behind books on bookshelves.
Have fun, get creative, and happy hunting!
